RE: GND and GVDD_C connection on DRV8332

Hi Michael,

The DRV8432EVM is very similar to the DRV8332. Technical documents (schematics and gerbers) for it can be found at www.ti.com/.../drv8432evm

1. What is the best place to connect the GND and GND_X grounds?
The ground connections should be as connected shown in the DRV8432EVM. It is recommended to connect all GND pins together and place a 1 Ohm resistor between AGND and all other GND pins.

2. It is recommended to connect the heat sink attached to the DRV8332 to GND. Can you give a hint how this is done technically?
For the DRV8332, the heatsink extends past the package. Mounting holes are drilled into the bottom of the heatsink. The heatsink is then pulled onto the device by tightening the screw.

3. The C-channel of DRV8332 has two gate supply pins named GVDD_C: ##18 and 19. Is it necessary to connect them together,

or the gate voltage can be supplied only to one of them, leaving the other unconnected?
It is recommended to connect both. Leaving one disconnected can result in an undervoltage fault.
