Please advise on the customer feedback and questions below:
We are using the DRV8305 FET driver and are having some issues with it.
Here is a summary of what we are seeing on the TI DRV8305 part.
If we set the current levels higher (using register 5 and register 6), we see significant ringing on the output of the driver, mainly during the charging of the Miller capacitance during turn on.

We have tried putting a series resistance between the driver output and the FET gate and it does not seem to make much difference. We did not go any higher than 10 ohms.
We are not sure if this is a known issue with the part or if we have not implemented it correctly in our schematic.
It seems as though the stability of the output is related to the dv/dt of the drain-source voltage on the FET.
As you slow down the switching it becomes more stable. The smallest current levels are stable but the switching time is so slow it is not practical.
