Sorry, I missed the section about the DRV8711EVM showing the same performance.
The outputs should look different in many cases. This is due to the current regulation engine that is PWM'ing the outputs. The current is then changed at each step to create a sine and cosine wave.
Since you have the DRV8711EVM, let's focus on it so we can duplicate as much as possible.
What is the VM voltage?
What are your register settings for the DRV8711EVM?
Can you provide your motor specification?
Would you please provide the winding current scope captures? This can be added by selecting "Use rich formatting" and attaching either file or media.
Are you using the motor that came with the DRV8711EVM? If not, can you try it?
