DRV8846EVM: Can't get GUI Composer s/w to run

Part Number: DRV8846EVM

I have a problem similar to what was described here (http://e2e.ti.com/support/development_tools/code_composer_studio/f/81/p/389822/1377876#1377876) but with a lot less volume/heat :-).

I downloaded gui composer (v6.1.1.0), installed in default location (c:\ti\guicomposer).  I downloaded the DRV8846EVM software (sllc446a.zip, current web version), copied the DRV8846EVM_GUIv1.0 folder from the zip file to c:\ti\guicomposer\webapps.  NOTE: the instructions in the DRV8846EVM Users Guide say this folder is underneath Application, but it is not.  There is only a firmware folder underneath Applications\ that seems to be the firmware for the MSP430 onboard the DRV8846EVM.

However, I *do* have the files underneath the DRV8846EVM_GUIv1.0 folder specified in the instructions.  When I try to start launcher.exe, I get the "working" icon for about 3 seconds, then nothing.  If I try to open GUI Composer directly, I get control suite only.  If I go to ccs v7, View->GUI Composer->Applications, there was nothing there except a comment to put apps in the eclipse->dropins-gc folder.  I copied the DRV8846EVM_GUIv1.0 folder to that directory as well.  Then it showed up in CCS, but when I selected it, CCS opened a window for it that said:

Problem accessing /guicomposer/DRV8846EVM_GUIv1.0/lib/davinci.gc_1_5/WebContent/gc/templates/program_uart/index.html. Reason:

    Not Found
with an HTTP 404 error.

As a side note, the USB driver for the board is already installed, the board was detected and there was a COM port in device manager for it. So that part seems to work fine.

Thanks,
Rob
