Part Number: DRV10983
Hi,
I need a sensorless BLDC motor driver that can do soft start for a high inertia load and handle up to ~10A. The DRV10983 did exactly what I want, except it couldn't handle enough power. When I look for solutions with external FETs, they also seem to require external microcontrollers, a level of complexity and cost I'd rather avoid. Since the DRV10983 does everything I want except drive external FETs (for ~$2) I don't see why the next step up requires a $2-3 driver, plus FETs, plus an almost $10 microcontroller. Is there anything in between that I'm missing? Thanks.
