The DRV832x has an integrated charge pump to supply the high-side gate voltage, where as the DRV8301 device uses a bootstrap architecture. DRV832x can support 100% duty cycle on the high-side MOSFET without turning on the low-side MOSFET.
DRV832x has several new features, including an integrated charge pump, variable slew rate control (IDRIVE / TDRIVE), three integrated current shunt amplifers, and other improvements over the DRV8301.
