CMOS Bidirectional H-bridge DC motor drivers

Hi,

Can someone please suggest me CMOS Bidirectional H-bridge DC motor drivers with 12V 500mA drive capability. I have considered SN754410 & L298 drivers but both of them need 5V for VCC1 pins - but I only have 3.3V & 12V on board supplies and not very keen on having another voltage converter on board. Also just wondering if 3.3V is sufficient to power SN754410 & L298 - both the datasheets ask for a minimum 4.5V on VCC1 pins.
