DRV8881E / timing requirement
RE: TIDA-00195 reference design
Hello Chang,
When you mention "completed the TIDA-00195" reference design - do you meant building your own hardware ?
Regarding the supply voltages, the board has 2 connectors: (a) CN1/CN2 to feed the Inverter DC bus voltage and (b) P1 (supply voltage for control electronics - 24vdc). You may refer to schematics for the connector designators.
The Inverter can be operated at any dc bus voltage less than 800vdc, said that it will work fine at 60vdc input. Please remember that for the board to work you would need Piccolo Launchpad LAUNCHXL-F28027 along with the Software to generate the PWM signals required for the inverter to function.

RE: DRV8881E PHASE/ENABLE interface
I think there is no history between DRV8835 and DRV8881. Let me confirm if there is any design reason here. Anyway we need to choose using braking or HiZ only in EN PH interface.
Some of our device will have different EN action based on decay setting.
Also DRV8881P have the braking function.
Best regards,
DRV8881E PHASE/ENABLE interface
Hi Team,
I would like to ask PHASE/ENABLE interface of DRV8881E.
DRV8881E shows "H-bridge is disabled Hi-Z" when ENx is low.
On the other hand, DRV8835 shows "Brake(xOUT1=xOUT2=L)" when xENABLE is low.
Is seems DRV8881E doesn't have brake mode(xOUT1=L, xOUT2=L).
I wonder why there is difference although both devices have the same PHASE/ENABLE interface.
Could you tell me the background?
Best Regards,
Yaita / Japan disty

Hi Wayne,
The file is located in the Hardware: DRV8308EVM zip file. This can be found in the DRV8308EVM folder.

DRV8308 EVM - Detailed Specs for TelcoMotion DT4260-24-055-04H-TI motor
The DRV8308 EVM has an included TI custom motor from Telcomotion that is designated as: TelcoMotion DT4260-24-055-04H-TI.
I have been unable to locate any detailed specs on the motor from the TI website nor Telcomotion's web site for this motor.
What I am looking for is the following kind of information
- Number of pole pairs
- Min/Max/Nominal voltages
- No load speed
- No Load current
- Stall current
- Stall torque
- Signal Pinout diagram
Could you either post those here to the forum, or point me to a PDF that has those specs.
Thanks
Wayne
RE: [ DRV8303 ] Bootstrap Diode Characteristics
Hi Ken,
What is reason for understanding these parameters? This will help us to better answer this request.
RE: [ DRV8303 ] Bootstrap Diode Characteristics
RE: [ DRV8303 ] Bootstrap Diode Characteristics
Ken,
Do you know what the part number is for the device these parameters are from?
I am trying to understand the test conditions. Do you know why these specific test conditions are selected?
RE: [ DRV8303 ] Bootstrap Diode Characteristics
Thanks for your reply.
This spec is about 6EDL04N02PR from infineon.

Sorry I don't have the background of test condition. But this is one of example from our competitor devices. If you have your own characteristics, please let me know.
Thanks,
Ken

Normally +/- 30% range of the TYP internal pulldown.
Best regards,
DRV8804 Rpd
I have a question about DRV8804 internal pulldown resistance.
Datasheet show Rpd Typ=100kΩ.
How much are min and max value of Rpd.

RE: Observation on DRV8701EVM Performance with high PWM frequency and low duty cycle
We will look into this and get back later.
Best regards,
Observation on DRV8701EVM Performance with high PWM frequency and low duty cycle
HI,
I have few question regarding DRV8701:
1) What is the minimum allowable operating PWM pulse width for DRV8701?
2) I am using 64kHz PWM frequency in my application. With DRV8701EVM (Eval-board), I am seeing in consistent output (even missing pulse ) if the PWM pulse width is shorter than 8us. Please refer to attached file ( WAVEFORM-1.xlsx and Missing Pulse.xlsx) for detail.
[View:/cfs-file/__key/communityserver-discussions-components-files/38/WAVEFORM_2D00_1.xlsx:1230:0][View:/cfs-file/__key/communityserver-discussions-components-files/38/Missing-pulse.xlsx:1230:0]
May I know the reason ?
3) I am also seeing inconsistent output rise time with short PWM pulse width. Please refer to attached file:[View:/cfs-file/__key/communityserver-discussions-components-files/38/Inconsistent-Output-Rise-time.xlsx:1230:0]
May I know the reason?
