I have 8881EVM and installed GUI_COMPOSER but could not find any instructions how to run it, what to do with it etc. Is there a manual of some sort showing all this so I can get started?

Hi Ivan,

Thanks very much! We will test it in the EVM.

Hi Expert.

May I know the DRV2605, DRV2605L and DRV2625 driving current capability? (The motor is 5V@500mA)

I only saw DRV2625 RDSon is 0.75ohm, how about DRV2605 and DRV2605L? Thanks!

Hi Sakai-San,

The logic threshold indicates that the DVDD voltage regulator has reached its nominal voltage (nominal voltage =3.3V but can be active at a slightly lower voltage)

Dear, Sir.

My customer is evaluating DRV83055QQ(Integrated 5V LDO) version.

Now, they are asking about the Power-Up Sequnce definition.

1. Figure 15 shows the definition. PVDD_UVLO2 is defined min. 4.4V/max. 4.7V @ rising.

How about the Logic Threshold? Digital I/O VIH = min. 2V/max. 5V?

2. Thecustomer is connected with 5V MCU via SPI. I think internal logic is operating with

3.3V. Is it no problmem to connect DRV83055QQ with 5V MCU? It has 5V tolerant?

Sorry again & again, but please give your advice.

Best Regards,

H. Sakai

Perhaps, I don't understand the question clearly so maybe  a picture is better . The VCC_5V is generated by the buck converter.

There are no restrictions on using the buck converter. You may refer to the datasheet of TPS54160 for details on the buck converter that is in DV8301

I have a DRV8301-HC-EVM Rev D kit. and I have a circuit of DRV8301-HC-EVM Rev D kit.

I wonder why kit'circuit didn't use buckconverter of drv8301.

Hello. I bought a DRV8353RS-EVM and try to spin my motor by TI's application. But it can't estimate automaticy a motor parameters and can't start rotarion. I have a datasheet for my motor with electical characteristics. How can i put it manualy for better regulator gain setup? Thanks.

Dustin,

"p2p" = Pin to Pin compatible?

First, find the key words for STSPIN840 are:
a. dual brushed DC motor driver
b. Operating voltage from 7 to 45 V;
c. Maximum output current 1.5 Arms
d. QFN 4 x 4 - 24 lead

And then, visit www.ti.com/.../overview.html
Select 4 for "number of half bridges", several parts are listed. But, there is no QFN 4x4 -24 lead part. If you know the detail motor drive requirements, you may find a part can meet your requirements.

Dear all Expert :

Do we have p2p lmotor drive IC like stspin840 ?[View:/cfs-file/__key/communityserver-discussions-components-files/38/stspin840.pdf:1230:0]

Excuse me, did you have a chance to take a look at this? Do you have any update?

Thank you.

Hi.

We are suffering from weird waveform problem. If we run ram waveform we get 5-10ms peak after the control ends. First I tough that the problem is with the ram page having non-formatted data or running it over. However this isn't the case, as I padded the pages with 0 and the problem still persist and with all content we test this with (different sizes, etc). Is this some mode change issue from ram mode to analog, or something?

We are using the SDK for DRV2667EVM-CT RevA.

DRV2700: Cannot get proper output voltage level gnerated.

Part Number: DRV2700

Hello,

I am trying to get a haptic feedback using piezo with DRV2605/DRV2700 (based on application report SLOA255).
When using the DRV2700 with a signal from DRV2605, there is no feedback can be felt. I also notice that the FB pin does not output 1.3V. Thus my PVDD signal is around 10V instead of 65V.

Piezo that is used for haptic feedback - Z63000Z2910Z 1Z 2 (www.digikey.ca/.../j2rm8v)

Attached is the schematics of the haptic driver circuit (the jumpers are set for position for the piezo driver), power supply section and scope reading of SW pin.

Any recommendations?

Regards,

Leon

RE: DRV2625: about auto-calibration

Hello, ACGUY,

There will be always a concern with the load capacitance if you are looking to use the auto-calibration feature. It directly affects to the algorithm when a high value is used.

Best regards,

DRV2625: about auto-calibration

Hello E2E,

Our customer is considering adoption the DRV2625 for next resonant device module.
Few days ago, they obtained the DRV2625-EVM, and connected with their resonant device.
The resonant device resonant frequency is 100Hz, resonant impedance is about 15-ohm.
Initially, auto-calibration process is not Done, and GUI status collar is Red. Resonant frequency was been set to maximum.
I suggested register address 0x2A value to modify from default to 0x02. PROCESS_DONE flag is "1".
However, the resonance frequency was set to the maximum without changing.
With other resonant device connected, DRV2625-EVM is indicates a normal value.

Q
:Does TI grasp similar case?
:Does the DRV2625 have restrictions on the impedance of resonant devices?
:If TI has idea for resolv, please let us know it.

Regards,
ACGUY

RE: DRV8834: Stepper Motor Missing Steps

Nipam,

If the winding current doesn't reach the regulation point, that could cause the missing step.
Example: If xVREF is 2 V (as it would be if xVREF is connected directly to VREFO) and a 100-mΩ sense resistor is used, the chopping current will be 2 V / 5 × 100 mΩ = 4 A.
What is the full winding current do you want? Could you measure the winding current to find out which step is missing?

Also, the decay mode setting can affect the winding current waveform. The current setup is 50% OF PWM CYCLE IS FAST DECAY. After we have winding current waveform, we may be able to adjust the decay mode to get a better result.
