Part Number: DRV10983
Hi TI experts,
My customer’s fan good or bad bases on below rule,
“CCW: 160mA(+12.5/-25%) , Over +12.5/-25% is NG.”
Could someone explain any drv10983 parameters to affect motor current how much? (Ex: Rdson is 0.25 ohm to 0.4 ohm)
Is the rule right?
Fan motor phase resister is 7.32 ohm, phase inductor is 3 mH.
The current consumption of test machine and FAN PCB are 100mA.
Below table is test result.
“Test machine + FAN PCB+ FAN Motor ” total current consumption as below table
| 50% duty speed | Current (A) | 100% duty speed | Current (A) |
Good FAN 1 | 2160 | 0.11 | 4330 | 0.16 |
Good FAN 2 | 2160 | 0.11 | 4285 | 0.16 |
Bad FAN 1 | 2160 | 0.13 | 4345 | 0.18 |
Bad FAN 2 | 2200 | 0.14 | 4360 | 0.18~0.19 |
FAN Motor current consumption as below table
| 50% duty speed | Current (A) | 100% duty speed | Current (A) |
Good FAN 1 | 2160 | 0.01 | 4330 | 0.06 |
Good FAN 2 | 2160 | 0.01 | 4285 | 0.06 |
Bad FAN 1 | 2160 | 0.03 | 4345 | 0.08 |
Bad FAN 2 | 2200 | 0.04 | 4360 | 0.08~0.09 |
Thanks,
Best regards,
