If you have a current probe, please look for abnormal currents at high motor speeds. If you see abnormal currents, please determine the cause.
Please examine the gates of the FETs to confirm the FETs are completely off prior to turning the opposite side on.
You should able to do this without a motor by controlling the inputs of the DRV8301.
You may need to increase the dead time and the gate current.
