RE: DRV8305 operated at 6V possible?

Weinan,

The device will work at that lower VM as 6V. The predriver output voltage will be lower than in normal condition but still able to turn on the standard MOSFETs. The question is during motor start or stall, the VM condition will be much more worse and may lower to the undervoltage protection range because of the high peak current. The system may not work robustly. Anyway we can just do more tests with the target motor and find the safe margin about this.

Also, the motors are not so strictly adapt to VM voltage, we can alway drive it at higher voltage with PWM control, even higher than motor spec. So it will be good to use higher voltage to drive if possible.

Best regards,
